I have been baking and cooking for crowds for more than twenty-five years. I’ve been trained by an exacting Italian grandmother in Pittsburgh, PA, with skills honed by hundreds of events for groups ranging from five to fifty. As a child, I loved helping her bake cookies and cakes, and occasionally licking the spoons and beaters!
I bring cheerful creative energy and expertise and can work with any budget and menu.
Cooking and baking started out as a hobby. Since then it’s morphed into so much more. It’s a passion and a creative outlet. I love trying new recipes. But what’s even better is seeing someone’s reaction after tasting one of my creations.
I now get to share my knowledge of baking with kids over at the Manassas Park Community Center, where I am a children’s culinary instructor. In my classes, kids get to see how buttercream is made from scratch, and all the tips, tricks, and tools they can use to decorate their own cupcakes and cakes. I also offer these classes as “demos” at the Manassas Olive Oil Company in Old Town Manassas.
You can catch me at the City of Manassas Farmers Market on select Thursdays throughout the market season.
Besides cooking and baking, I LOVE to entertain. And nothing is more entertaining than getting together with friends, family, and good food.
You can watch me share my love of food and wine pairings as the foodie half of “The Curly Girls”. We share the love of food, wine, and fun one recipe and pairing at a time through our monthly FB show. Be sure to follow me there, as well as at “From Gina’s Kitchen” on FB and Instagram.
Thanks for being here, and following along with all the Kitchen fun!
